Some highlights from the Uncanny Inhumans Panel:

  • With Old Man Logan, Logan will have to confront the X-Men, after having slaughtered them in his own timeline.
  • All New X-Men will feature the “Kirby leading X-Men” in their efforts to make peace with an unfriendly world, while Extraordinary X-Men should offer a whole new landscape. According to Lemire, “…the world has changed and moved on, and it’s a more dangerous place for mutants…” Storm has taken it upon herself to continue Xavier’s dream and this is the team she’s assembled.   Additionally, “lots of interesting things are going to happen between Old Man Logan and Jean Grey.”
  • Cullen Bunn, the writer of Uncanny X-Men, gave us a synopsis of his book, saying, that it’s “a dangerous time for mutants, and I wanted to put together a team that was just as dangerous as the threats they are facing…they are upholding Xavier’s dream even if they don’t have any business doing so.”
  • And finally, The Uncanny Inhumans. Charles Soule expressed a great deal in relation to this new book, saying it’s a story about the Inhumans, and how “they have two sides.” There’s the group we know, the popular and regal Inhumans like Medusa, Black Bolt, etc, “but recently there’s been an explosion of new super powered Inhumans…(there’s) the people working at subway,” and then the royalty. There was skepticism about whether the Human Torch would be staying around and why Medusa would choose to be with such a hothead. Soule responded by assuring folks that Johnny is very much a part of the book and not temporary.

A sequel to the much-loved Dredd film would be too expensive for crowdfunding, producers say.

Secret Wars Panel Highlights:

  • Hickman clarifies that Iron Man and Captain America were killed at the last issue of Avengers, when the Helicarrier was dropped on them.
  • How did they choose which multiverses and realities to use in Secret Wars? It was just all about the pitching at the writing meet, and then having to cut it down to the stuff that worked best and contributed to the post-Secret Wars Marvel Universe. There was a list of at least twice as many books initially.
  • In terms of the state of Marvel’s multiverse after Secret Wars, Brevoort says wait until Secret Wars ends.
  • What character/team would Hickman want to do next? Hickman jokes he’s making a new character called Vacation, and he is heavily invested in this. Brevoort does draw it out of Hickman that he was interested in tackling the Eternals. Williamson would love to tackle Punisher, he loves dark stuff and Punisher would be good for that. Amanat would love to get her hands on Squirrel-Girl, and Soule thinks he’s got a good Steve Rogers book in him. Hickman also admits he has a great idea for an X-Book.
  • The end of of Rage of Ultron will be picked up on in the Ant-Man annual, out now.

Max Brooks would love to write Voltron

One of the big announcements from The CW Flash panel is that the the original Flash from comic books, Jay Garrick, would indeed show up in the new season of The Flash. There had been several easter eggs alluding to Garrick, and in this panel DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns confirmed the debut. Wally West also coming in Season 2. The studio has cast Teddy Sears as Jack Garrick and Shantel VanSanten as Patty Spivot for its second season, adding to major additions to the DC Entertainment show’s cast. The "big bad" for Season 2 will be Zoom, who is "faster then the Reverse Flash."

Highlights from The CW Arrow Panel: Arrow will be taking on the name "Green Arrow" with a new costume to boot. Some new characters will be added to the series, including Damien Dahrk (Neal McDonough), Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum), Anarky (Alexander Calvert), and Baron Blitzkrieg (Jimmy Akingbola)

  • Earth 2: Society is up first, featuring the rebuilding of Earth 2’s world and society. First issue focused on new Batman, Dick Grayson, each issue will focus on a different character. Wilson likes to show off his scientist cred, as he discusses placing the series in a binary star system.
  • The Flash up next, the new series sees Barry Allen getting a clue to his mothers murder for the first time in a long time, in the form of a familiar to fans name, Thawn. The next issue sees Henry Allen, the Flash’s father, being hunted as a fugitive, and his mysterious reasons for breaking out of prison (also mentioned Brett Booth draws an amazing Girder).
  • The Flash Annual coming soon will feature a big reveal about the nature of Flash’s powers, and the history of Thawne. What can we expect from the annual? It’s written by Van Jensen solo, mainy just due to scheduling, the idea is we’re going to get a look at Thawne, who’s actually been around for a ‘shocking number of years’ building towards this endgame for the Flash, also a look into the way he operates. The identity of the group brought together by Thawne is important to the new revelations about the Flash’s powers they’ll be setting up.
